President Trump has told staff he is considering pardoning his former national security adviser Michael T. Flynn, according to a person familiar with the talks.
The person said that while nothing is final until Mr Trump does, he has made it clear that this is a series of pardons he plans to grant before he leaves office.
Mr Flynn has twice pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations with a Russian diplomat during the presidential transition at the end of 2016. The decision was reported earlier by Axios.
